Deadline for Tribal Governments Program Grantees
The Office on Violence Against Women is requesting that any FY 2009 Grants to Indian Tribal Governments Program grantee who has proposed to provide either transitional housing assistance or civil legal assistance to victims must prepare and submit its written policies regarding the administration of these funds to OVW for review and approval before using award funds for these purposes.

Both the Transitional Housing Assistance Policy template and the Civil Legal Assistance Client Eligibility Criteria template are available for use in preparing your required documents (contact your Program Specialist for a copy). The deadline to submit these documents to OVW has been extended to April 30, 2010. The required documents must be submitted to your assigned OVW Program Specialist. If your tribe or organization has previously submitted these documents to OVW for review and approval, then there is no need to re-submit them.
